Chapter 7.
A few days later and we were back in Los Angeles and back to work. Lee's concert went amazing and just seeing him perform was amazing and I was so proud of everything he accomplished in this past year, and nobody deserved any of this as much as he does.
I had a free day today and Lee was on his break from the studio, so he was able to accompany me to the doctors. He was trying his hardest to be supportive, but I knew he felt uncomfortable being around all the pregnant woman in waiting area and now he was awkward as he looked around the small doctor's office. He was holding my hand as Dr. Greyson was moving the wand around on my still flat stomach.
"You are about six weeks along." Dr. Greyson said, as he hit some buttons on the screen.
"Can we see the baby?" Lee asked, narrowing his eyes and looking at the dark screen.
"Yes." Dr. Greyson said, zooming in. "It's still very small, but you should be able to see your son or daughter."
He moved the wand around and Lee reached out and grabbed my hand. I squeezed his hand tightly as I looked over at the screen. Dr. Greyson stopped moving the wand and pointed to a tiny black dot on the screen.
"That is the gestational sac." Dr. Greyson said.
"That sounds really gross, whatever that is." Lee said.
"This is basically what your baby is now, because the embryo is not idenitfied yet, because it is very early in your pregnancy." Dr. Greyson smiled.
"Good looking kid." Lee said and I laughed softly, as I turned my head and looked at him. "I mean I knew they would be, because look at their studly father, but damn that is the best looking dot I have ever seen. We created that."
"I know." I whispered, smiling at how cute he was. "Does it feel real yet?"
"Kinda." Lee nodded and brushed my hair out of my face, "More so than before, but not completely there yet. I need some kind of proof, like your stomach needs to get bigger or I need to see some form of human."
"I really love you." I squeezed his hand.
"I love you too." I leaned over and gave him a kiss.
"Alright, any questions?" Dr. Greyson asked.
"Nope." I sat up from the table, pulling down my shirt.
"I have one." Lee said.
Oh gosh! Lee, don't ask anything ridiculous. I glanced over at him and he had a smile on his face and it was the smile that I knew he was going to ask something just to be a ass. I shot him a warning look and squeezed his hand really hard. He pulled his hand away and looked back at Dr. Greyson.
"I was talking to my buddy and his girlfriend has a baby and he told me that after the baby was born, he couldn't have sex for six weeks. Now, is that true, because that is a awfully long time to wait."
"Seriously Lee?" I said, shooting him a look.
"It depends on the healing process, but why don't we wait till the time comes." Dr. Greyson smiled.
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
"Don't apologize! I bet people as him weird stuff all the time." Lee smiled.
"I would like to see you back here in two weeks." Dr. Greyson said, and I nodded and stood up from the table.
"Alright! Thanks again for everything." I smiled.
"Your welcome. Congratulations."
"Thanks man!" Lee said, placing his hand on my lower back and guiding me out of the room.
"You're a idiot!" I said, once we were out of Dr. Greyson's ear shot.
"What? It's a good question! Like you knew the answer to it? I know you were just as curious as I was to find out the answer, it's a honest question and he had no problems answering it. You can thank me later for that one, because you didn't have the guts to ask it."
"I'm just not focused on that yet." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm sorry! Don't be mad at me." Lee said.
"I'm not mad." I gave him a small smile and grabbed his hand.
I schdeuled my next appointment with the receptionist and then we headed out of the office and to our seperate cars. Lee had to head back to the studio and I would be going back to my place to make some dinner and relax for the rest of the night with Katie and my sister.
"I'll give you a call a little later." Lee said, opening my door of the
carme.
"Okay." I grabbed onto the side of his tee-shirt. "Have fun recording, write some kick ass songs."
"I will." Lee said, leaning down and brushing his lips against mine. "I love you."
"I love you too."
"Drive safely and text me when you get home."
"Alright. Bye baby!" I said, wrapping my arms around him and hugging him tightly.
"Bye." He kissed the top of my head and let go of me.
I stood on my toes and gave him one last kiss, before climbing in my car. He closed my door for me and waved as he headed across the street to his car.

"Do mom and dad know yet?" Leah asked, as Katie and her sat at the kitchen table, while I started to make dinner.
"They do not and you better not say anything." I said, turning around and looking at her.
"Secret is safe with me, but you really need to tell them. This isn't really anything you can keep a secret, they are eventually going to find out when you are walking around with a huge stomach and pushing that big headed kid out." Leah said and Katie started laughing.
"Why does everybody think the baby is gonna have a huge head? Just cause Lee's head is somewhat large, doesn't mean our baby will." I said.
"Somewhat large? More like huge." Leah said.
"I'm not pushing that out, we already talked about this! This baby will have my normal size head, because that is just cruel."
"You do gotta tell mom and dad though."
"I know. What am I supposed to do, just call and be all hey guys I am pregnant!" I said sarcastically, "I'm sure that would sit over very well with our super conseravtive parents."
"They like Lee, don't they?" Katie asked.
"My mom does, buy my dad is kinda douchey towards him. Lee tries hard to reach out to him and he just kind of ignores Lee and I feel awful about it." I sighed. "And even if I am an adult, my dad is going to freak out because I am only 21 and just starting my career and he doesn't really like Lee and we're not married. Blah, blah, blah!"
"I don't understand how he can hate Lee, but love Mike." Leah said.
"Cause Mike is going to school and doing all the things dad wants. He's not into me dating a musician, because he thinks he is going to do all the groupies, when in reality Lee isn't like that."
"I love Lee, but he is completely oblivious to all that stuff. When we were on tour girls would be throwing themselves at him and he wouldn't even realize it." Katie said and I laughed.
I heard the door open and I turned around when I heard Mike walk in.
"Hey you!" Leah said, standing up and walking over to him.
"Hey!" He leaned down and gave her a kiss. "Hey Katie! Hey Kendall."
"Hi Mike!" Katie and I said in unison.
My cellphone started ringing and I grabbed it from the counter and looked at the caller id, seeing it was my manager. I excused myself and headed out of the kitchen and answered the phone once I was in the hallway.
"Hey Josh." I said.
"Kendall, tell me this isn't true." Josh said.
"What?" I asked.
"I just got a hold of pictures of you and Lee leaving a doctors office earlier this morning! You need to tell me what the hell is going on here? Are you sick or what?"
Crap. Crap. Crap! What was I going to say? I couldn't lie, he would eventually find out, but I wasn't ready to tell him yet.
"Kendall, what is going on." Josh said.
"I'm pregnant." I said quietly.
"You're what? Jesus Christ, Kendall! This is not good, what the hell were you thinking?"
"Oh yeah! Iwent right to Lee and told him to get me pregnant! It's not like I planned this or anything, it just happened." I sighed.
"Shit. We are going to have to hold a meeting tomorrow, come in around 12 and we will discuss everything." Josh said, trying to keep his cool.
"Okay. Bye." I said quietly.
"Bye."
I leaned against the wall and let out a sigh and blinked back tears.
This was going to suck.
