After lunch Katie decided to come over and visit Payton, since she hasn't seen her since we were in the hospital. We were sitting around the living room, Katie was cradling Payton in her arms. She has been holding her since we walked through the door and Payton was loving her.

"Okay, I'm not just saying this because you are my best friend, but she is honestly the prettiest baby ever! She's like the perfect mix of Lee and you." Katie looked over at me and I smiled. "I still can't believe you are a mom, it's crazy to me! How does it feel?"

"It's amazing and it sounds so cliche and cheesy, but as soon as I held her for the first time the love just poured out. I know that no matter what happens I have somebody who will always love me and always need me. These past few monthes have been kinda crazy and I lost a lot of support."

"You know that if you ever want to come back you can! I'd love to have you and Payton around." Katie smiled.

"I don't know." I sighed.

"You always have me, honestly." Katie said and I nodded.

"I just don't want it to be too overcrowded with my sister and Mike around."

"There's three bedrooms and Mike and Leah share a room, which leaves a room for you and Payton if it ever came to that. It's a decent size place and if things with you and Lee don't get any better and you need a place to stay while looking for somewhere to live you have my place." Katie said.

"They share a room?" I groaned.

"Yeah." Katie smiled. "They are totally in love and a lot liek how you and Lee were."

"Are they having sex?" I whispered.

"How should I know? I don't stand outside their door like a creep and listen to see what they are doing. I mean it wouldn't surprise me, but I am also not looking for evidence if they are." Katie laughed softly.

"She better be using protection, because she does not want to end up like me." I said and looked over at Payton, who was resting against Katie's chest looking around the room, her big blue eyes wide open. "Not that I ever regret this little munchkin, but, she doesn't need no babies."

"Well regardless what you and Lee maybe going through, you two make cute babies."

"We do." I smiled.

I heard the front door open and Capone jumped up from his place in the middle of the living room floor and hurried out of the room. It was either Lee or Lee's parents who were out with Mike and Leah. I looked up when I heard someone walk into the room and Lee was standing there.

"Hey Lee!" Katie smiled.

"Hey Katie!" He walked over to her and bent down, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. "How have you been?"

"Great! Busy with music and trying to start that whole thing, but it's going pretty well." Katie smiled.

"Awesome!" Lee said, "Mind if I take her from you? I haven't seen her all day and missed her."

"Sure."

Lee took Payton from Katie and bent his head, kissing Payton's cheek, before holding her against his chest. His right arm around her back and his left hand rested on her head. She let out a soft grunt and cuddled into Lee's chest and I couldn't help but smile as he walked out of the room.

"He didn't even say hi to you." Katie whispered.

"I know." I nodded.

"I think I should really get going, because you two need to talk this crap out! I can cut the tension with a knife." She stood up adn grabbed her purse, tossing it over her shoulder. "I'll give you a call a little later tonight or you can call me if you need too."

"Thanks." I sighed.

"Bye girl! Good luck with everything and you know I love ya!" She bent down and hugged me.

"Love you too! Bye!"

Katie waved before she walked out of the room. I heard her yell a goodbye to Lee and he yelled one back and then the front door closed and my stomach dropped, because I knew it was just Lee and me and I knew we had to talk. Lee walked in a few minutes later with Payton and he sat on the other end of the couch.

"How was work?" I asked.

"Good." He answered.

"What is going on with us?" I sighed and looked over at Lee who just shrugged. "Lee, honestly what the hell is this? We're not talking and when we do it's nothing but a fight. What the hell happened to us? It went downhill so fast."

"I think you should move out." Lee blurted out. "I can't live with you anymore and I was trying so hard to be okay with it and make it work, because of Payton, but I can't. We fight too much and it's not healthy for us or Payton."

"Okay." I nodded.

"That's all you can say?"

"What do you want me to say Lee? I'm not putting up a fight anymore because you are right! This relationship isn't working out and I think we are just hanging on because of Payton and as much as it kills me to say it, it's better for her if we aren't together." I told him.

"I agree." Lee nodded.

"So, we're done?" I asked.

"Yeah." Lee nodded. "For real this time. We can't keep going back and forth for the sake of Payton. It's not fair to her."

"I know."

I stood up from my spot on the couch.

"I'm just gonna go grab a everything I need for Payton and me for tonight and I will come back tomorrow for everything else." I told him and he just nodded, as he stared down at Payton.

I headed out of the living room and upstairs as I let the tears begin to fall.

Just like that everything came to a end. That was the shortest breakup ever, but the hardest one I ever been through. If you told this is how my family would be I would have laughed in your face. When I found out I was pregnant and saw how involved Lee was in the whole thing I thought we would eventually get married and have more babies together, but I was wrong. So wrong.

It had been a almost a month since my break up with Lee and I moved back in with Katie, Leah, and Mike until I found a apartment last week. The thing that was great about this whole Idol thing was that we actually got paid for all our performances, downloads, touring, and for apperances so I was able to live comfortably, not to mention I was getting a lot of help from Lee with buying things for Payton.

Lee and I didn't talk much since the break up. When we did talk it was about Payton and only Payton. Right now I had full custody of Payton, because she was too young to bounce her place to place and not to mention Lee was getting ready for his promotional tour. We decided once Payton is a little older he could take her for a couple days. Now, he would just stop by to see her or I would stop by his place and he would keep her for a few hours. As douchie as he was towards me, he was an amazing father and I couldn't take that away from him.

I was still getting over him, but I was doing better I had no choice but to me better. I had a baby I had to take care of and she was number one right now, as for Lee I don't think he is hurting too much about this break up. He's been seen around town with some girl who was in his music video and Katie found out that they were "hooking up". Lee told her over dinner one night and that hurt that not only has he moved on so fast, but I had to find out through my best friend.

Payton was a month old now and she was getting bigger and bigger everyday. She was actually like a little human now, she had a personality and was constantly smiling at everyone and everything. She was perfect and beautiful. She was looking more like Lee everyday. She had his big blue eyes, his smile, and his hair. Every now and then she would make a face that looked excactly like Lee and that kinda sucked.

I stood in Payton's nursery getting her dressed as she laid on the changing table.

"Are you going to have fun with daddy today?" I asked her, as I grabbed her hand and kissed her palm and she gave me a wide toothless grin. "You guys are going to have fun today, then daddy is leaving for a few weeks, but he will be back and you guys will be able to hang out again."

My cellphone started ringing and I dug in the pockets of my jeans and pulled it out.

"Hello." I answered.

"Hey. I am here and in the parking lot." Lee said quickly.

"Okay, I'll be right down."

"Okay."

I hung up and shoved my phone back in my pocket and picked up Payton from the changing table and held her against my chest, before picking up her diaper bag.

"Let's go get daddy." I said, kissing her cheek.

I walked out of the apartment and headed to the elevator and took it to the lobby. I headed outside and Lee was sitting in his car and as I walked closer I saw the girl that he was seeing in the passanger seat of his car. He leaned over and gave her as kiss as she laughed at something he said, before he climbed out of the car.

I'm not going to lie, that kinda hurt to see.It was like he was shoving it in my face that he found someone.

"Hey princess!" Lee said, taking Payton out of my hands and kissing her cheek. "I missed you."

I reached up and pulled down her dress that started sliding up.

"So, who's the girl?" I asked.

"Who are you my keeper?" Lee asked, looking up at me.

"If she is just a chick you are banging please don't keep bringing her around Payton." I looked up at him.

"Don't worry about who I am or am not banging." He grabbed the diaper bag from me . "Ready Payt?"

"Be good for daddy and I will see you in a little bit." I stood on my toes and kissed her cheek. "I love you!"

Lee opened up the backseat door and laid Payton in her carseat and hooked her in. He stood back up and closed the door.

"Alright, I'll be back later."

"Okay. Just call me when you are on your way or if you need anything."

"Yup. Bye."

"Bye."

Well, that was awkward.

I was with Andrew and his girlfriend, Christine for dinner. I haven't talked to Andrew in a couple weeks and he called me today asking me if he wanted to grab some dinner and I figured since Lee had Payton for the rest of the day that I should get out of the house and meet up with some friends.

"So, how is everything with Lee and you?" Andrew asked.

"Awkward as hell! He came by to pick up Payton today and he had his little bang buddy in the passanger seat." I said.

"No way!" Christine gasped and I nodded. "That is just wrong and douchey on so many levels. He should have some sort of respect and know not to do that."

"And if she is coming to my house to pick up my daughter she can atleast have the balls to come out and introduce herself to me." I said. "It was just so strange."

"They aren't serious." Andrew said.

"That's not the point."

"Lee's my boy and you know that I always got his back, but what he did to you and the way he is going about this is stupid. He honestly loves you still and this is his way of trying to get back at you."

"He's the one who broke up with me!" I rolled my eyes.

"Do you think you guys will ever get back together?" Christine asked.

"No. The damage is already done." I looked at her and shook my head. "I love the guy, but we aren't good for one another. We are much better apart."

"You guys look hot together though." Christine smiled and I laughed softly.

"He looks hot with his new girl." I rolled my eyes.

"Why would he ever bring her along?" Christine sighed and shook her head.

"It's the way the male mind works! We are idiots and it's his way of trying to show that he is okay with everything taht is going on, when I know for a fact he isn't okay with it." Andrew said and I looked over at him. "Don't tell him I said anything, because he had me promise not to tell anyone."

"Like we even talk?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Right." Andrew nodded. "Well, he basically told me that he loves you and no other girl could compare to you and that he screwed up bigtime. He said he just wants you and Payton back."

"It's too late for that." I said quickly and Andrew just nodded. "I mean you brought your girlfriend to my place to pick up our daughter, that is a weird way of showing me you want me back."

"If he came back to you though, you wouldn't give him a shot?" Andrew asked.

"No. We have been through this so much and I can't do it anymore. We have a child in this now and it's not healthy. We need to just be apart." I said.

"It's the ending of Klee." Andrew frowned.

"He's all yours though."I laughed softly and looked at Andrew. "Just make sure he is happy and gets a good girl. I worry about him sometimes and I do care about him and love him, but that is just not enough sometimes."

"He would be happy with you." Andrew said.

"Drew, I'm done with him." I sighed.

poor Kendall but that part with him bringing his girlfriend to the house to pick Payton up reminded me of Teen Mom when Ryan brought his girlfriend over to Macy's to pick up Bentley.

It had been a couple of days since Lee came over with his girlfriend and he left to go to the east coast to promote his album. He called me or texted me a few times since he left to see how Payton was, but like usual the conversation was just about Payton, and the couple times it did go off topic it ended in us fighting.

I walked into the living room, carrying Payton who just woke up from a nap. Leah was sitting on my couch, her laptop rested on her lap. She came over after class, because she was bored since Katie was off having meetings withe several record labels and Mike was in class. She decided to come over and visit with Payton and me and I was pretty happy about that, because I needed some adult conversation. There was only so much you can talk about with a one month old.

"Aw! She's awake!" Leah said, looking up as I walked past her and sat down on the chair. "And she's not cranky anymore."

"This little girl, cranky? Never!" I said sarcastically, smiling at Leah. "She has her daddy's attitude, which is not a good trait. I told her she can look like Lee all she wants, but she better not act like him and she better not find a guy like him when she gets older."

"And what if she does?" Leah laughed.

"Tell her to never have sex with him." I smiled and Leah shook her head. "Don't get me wrong I don't regret having Payton, because let's face it she is the only thing great to come out of this relationship, but if I could have had her with another man who isn't such a douche like her father, then I would."

"Things are still that bad?"

"They could be worse, but they could also be better." I shrugged. "How are you and Mike doing?"

"Great. He's a really good guy and I am really happy with everything." Leah said.

"Well, one of them has to be a good guy and we all know it's not Lee, but I have to say his whole family is amazing minus him and his parents have been so supportive of me and still call me to make sure everything is going good. I appreciate that a lot." I said, and Leah smiled as she looked back at her laptop.

"I'm sorry you arre going through this, but you know that Katie and me are here for you and even Mike is."

"I know, it's just kinda hard right now but it's gonna be okay."

"It will be."

"I guess dad was right about Lee."

"Oh my gosh! Did you see these pictures?"

"What pictures?"

I stood up off the chair and sat down next to Leah on the couch. She turned her laptop towards me and I saw that she was on some gossip sight. I read the headline of the article, before looking at the pictures. It read "Idol winner, Lee DeWyze, out in LA with girflriend & baby"

I scrolled down with my free hand and looked through the pictures of Lee, his girfriend, Audra, and Payton. The frist couple pictures were fine. They were walking out of a restaurant, Lee was holding Payton to his chest and covering her face from the flashbulbs, while Audra pushed the stroller. The next was one of them stopped on the sidewalk, Lee was leaning down and kissing Audra. I would lie to you if I said that didn't suck seeing. It wasn't until the last one that I got pissed off. Audra was holding Payton and kissing her forehead and I don't know why, but it just rubbed me the wrong way seeing another woman holding my daughter and kissing her in front of the paparazzi, who she knew was watching her.

I scrolled down and saw a small article and decided to read it. It was basically the media protraying Audra as a better mother then me and Audra talking crap about how I mistreat Lee and am a unfit mother.

"Are you kidding me right now?"

"Dude, this girl is all kinds of cray!"

"I am sitting here taking care of this child since birth while Lee is out living his life with this skank and now she is trying to act like she is her mother? Are you serious right now?" I stood up and handed Payton to Leah. "I need to call your daddy and chew his ass out right now, because your daddy is an idiot!"

"Maybe you should calm down a bit." Leah suggested.

I shook my head and grabbed my phone, quickly dialing Lee's cell number. It rang a few times, before he picked up.

"Yeah?" Lee answered.

"You need to keep your girlfriend away from Payton." I said.

"What the hell Kendall, not now!" Lee sighed.

"Yes now. I saw the pictures of you two acting like a happy little family the other day and that's fine, but I am not happy about her holding Payton and kissing her in front or the photographers, she is pimping out Payton to try and get publicity because she is a nobody actress and that is also the reason she is sleeping with you!" I snapped.

"You are just bitter because I left you." Lee said.

"Please, you are the one that wants me back and are trying to get me jealous with Audra." I told him.

"Seriously? If I wanted you back I would tell you. I don't want you and the only reason I still have contact with you is because of Payton." Lee shot back.

"Whatever. Just tell your girl to shut up about me being a horrible mother when she doesn't even know me! Say anything else you want about me, but don't make up rumors like that because I love Payton more then anything and would do anything for her. I have been there day one for her and to have some skank that you are banging make up lies like that is really uncalled for."

"If you have a problem with her don't call me and bitch me out. I haven't said one bad thing about you and believe me if I wanted to I would."

"Oh yeah and I have just as much shit on you as you do on me." I told him and he sighed. "Lee, just keep her in check. This isn't funny and if someone was saying shit about you as a father I would come to your defense. You're a jerk towards me, but you are a great dad and I wouldn't take that away from you."

"Alright, you're right." Lee sighed.

"Whoa! Did you just actually agree with me on something?" I scoffed.

"Don't ruin the moment." Lee said and I smiled. "I'll talk to her tonight, okay?"

"Thanks."

"I really gotta go and get back to work, but I will call you tomorrow to check up on Payton."

"Okay."

"Give Payton a kiss for me and I will talk to you tomorrow."

"I will. Bye." I said.

"Bye."

I hung up and looked over at Leah.

"We actually agreed on something, after fighting of course, but it is a step in the right direction." I said.

I was heading to my car the next afternoon, after a doctor appointment. Payton was with Leah and Katie who were watching her for me, so I didn't have to lug her around to the doctors with me and to top it off the paparazzi was out in full force after the pictures of Lee and Audra were released and I didn't want Payton in the middle of it.

I was waiting to cross the street and there were about five camera men who crowded around me.

"How are you today?" One of them yelled.

"I'm good. Thanks."

"You are looking lovely. Lee must be kicking himself right now."

"Aw thanks. Lee's a good guy though and things happen for a reason." I told him.

"Kendall, how do you feel about the pictures of Lee and his new girlfriend?" One of the photographers yelled out.

"I'm happy for him and if he is happy then so am I." I answered, somewhat lying, because the pictures made me extrememly jealous and angry, but I needed to filter myself and act like all is well. They were looking for me to lash out for a story, but I wouldn't feed into their crap. Just gotta try and be poilete and smile.

"Will you be buying his album when it hits stores?" Another asked me.

"I will. I'm sure it's going to be great and I am happy for him. He deserves it."

"How do you feel about his girlfriend making those comments about you to the press?"

"I don't know her and I've never even met her, so I don't know where she came up with all of that, but it's not true." I gave them a small smile.

"Do you think she is jealous because you are hotter and had her boyfriend's baby?"

My eyes widened and I cracked a small smile and shook my head.

"I don't think so!" I laughed softly and started to cross the street. "I really need to go now and get home to my baby since I am never with her apparently."

"Touche." One of them said and I smiled.

"Have a great day guys!" I called out.

"Thank you Kendall, you look lovely." One of them called out as I crossed the street and got into my car.

I know I shouldn't have taken that shot at Audra, because that was just adding fuel to the fire, but I couldn't hold back. I didn't say anything too horrible, but the media was going to blow it up into something ridiculous like they always do. I also knew Lee was going to be pissed about it too, but oh well she could say shit so can I.

"I was stopped by paparazzi today. Why are they so intrested in me?" I asked Katie and Leah, as I stood in their kitchen.

"Cause they want you to trash talk my brother." Mike smiled as he walked into the room.

"I wouldn't do that, no matter how much he pisses me off. I still care about him and love him, even if he is being a butt head." I said, as I took Payton from Katie and kissed her cheek. "No offense, I shouldn't be talking about your brother to you. It's not fair to you."

"Nah it's all good, he's being a idiot and this Audra girl sucks!" Mike said.

"Oh really? Can I have the deets?" I smiled and Katie and Leah laughed.

"She's way too controlling and doesn't let Lee hang out with his friends, like you were cool and would let him do his thing and to top it off she gets annoyed when he gives Payton attention. She's like a baby herself and Lee is honestly with her because he gets laid on a regular basis and to make you jealous." Mike said as he sat down on the kitchen chair.

"Why does everyone keep saying that?" I asked.

"Cause he tells us these things and he's my brother, I have known him for twenty years and believe me this is the way he works. He wants you back."

"It's not happening." I shook my head.

"What if he changed?" Leah asked me.

"You shouldn't have to change who you are to be with somebody. Lee and I aren't meant to be together, it's been proven more then once."

"You just said you loved him." Leah said.

"Yeah and sometimes that just isn't enough. Lee and I need to focus on Payton and not worry about us as a couple. It's not about us anymore." I shrugged.

"Whatever." Leah rolled her eyes and sat down on Mike's lap.

"Be happy you got the good brother." Mike smiled, patting her thigh.

"Be happy you got the good sister." She smiled back at him and pressed her lips against his.

"Wow! Thanks." I said sarcastically.

"Wanna show me how good you are?" Mike asked.

"Oh my gosh! There is a baby and your sister in the room. You two are nasty and if you are having sex you better be wearing protection." I rambled.

"Let's get away from my mom." Leah said looking over at me.

Mike stood up and grabbed Leah's hand, pulling her out of the room.

"You have got to be kidding me right now." I looked over at Katie.

"I deal with this everynight." Katie smiled.

"Why don't we go out shopping or something so I could get away from this nastyness?" I asked.

"Yes! Please." Katie nodded.

So sorry! I've been busy with school & on Thurs I won tickets for Lee's private concert in NY & I met him & got two hugs! I am still so excited about it lol.

"Hello." I answered the phone, cradling it between my shoulder and ear as I picked up Payton from her crib and rested her against my chest.

"Hey." It was Lee, usually he didn't call around this time. "Is that Payton crying? Is she alright?"

"Yes it's Payton crying and she is fine, Lee! I am going to make her a bottle now you worrywart. Anyway, what's up?" I asked, as I headed into the kitchen and to the fridge, pulling out one of her already made bottles. "Are you calling to just check up on Payton or what?"

"I want you two to fly out to New York for Wedensday." Lee said.

"New York City in two days? Do you know how difficult it is going to be to fly with a infant, especially for a long flight like that? I appreciate your effort, but I can't do that by myself." I apologized.

"Just hear me out!" Lee said and I rolled my eyes, as I popped the bottle in the microwave.

"Not the first time." I muttered.

"I'll ignore your smartass comments, because right now I am trying to get you on my good side, which we all know isn't easy." Lee rambled and I sighed loudly as I took the bottle out of the microwave and headed into the living room. He must have gotten the hint. "Okay, well you know I am having my record release concert and I really wanted Payton to be there."

"Lee, it's a concert! She can't go to a concert."I sat on the couch and turned my phone onto speaker, as I cradled Payton in my arms and started to feed her.

"There are VIP rooms for family to stay and my parents and Mike will all be here."

"And you really want me there?" I questioned.

"Well, I mean Payton can't fly by herself." Lee teased and I scoffed, "I'm just joking. Of course I want you there. I know a lot of shit went down between us, but we do have a child together and we need to realize that and put our differences aside. I love you and care about you and you know that."

"I do." I told him. "I feel the same way about you."

"So, are you in?" Lee asked.

"I'm still sketchy on flying." I said.

"Mike will be flying out with you or I could get a private plane."

"Like you could afford that Lee?" I laughed. "No offense, but you are a newbie and you have a decent amount of money, but you aren't Donald Trump rich."

"Just get your ass out here! Mike will help you." Lee said.

"That kinda scares me." I was just messing with him now.

"Are you freakin' coming or not?"

"If you want me to come to New York so badly, you should be a little nicer to me." I smiled and I could just picture him rolling his eyes.

"Please just come out and then we can fly back home together." Lee said.

"Is Audra going to be there?" I asked, cause if she was gonna be there that would be a deal breaker.

"Oh yeah! She is actually sitting right next to me right now as we speak." Lee said sarcastically. "Hell no! That girl was nothing to me."

"Was?" I questioned.

"What are you? The keeper of who I am sleeping with?"

"I just wanna see if she is going to be there."

"No. We aren't seeing eachother anymore, she caused too much trouble and it's not worth it. I don't need the drama right now and I am better off just being single and worrying about my career and Payton."

"My, how you grew up in a month." I said.

"Has to happen sometime, right? I screwed up a lot of crap, that I regret. I ruined good things." He said.

"I guess I will come there." I said, ignoring his comment. It wasn't going to be that easy to fix, I have seen his puppy dog act more than once. I'm not gonna fall for it again.

"Okay, I will get your flights set up."

"Okay."

"Kendall, thanks for doing this. I know things are kinda weird, but I appreciate this."

"I'm not going to miss one of your biggest gigs if you want me there."

"Thanks."

"Yeah! Have fun and I will talk to you later."

"Bye." He said.

"Bye."

I hung up the phone and looked down at Payton, who was staring up at me with her big blue eyes that matched Lee's.

"Maybe your daddy and me can be friends." I said softly.

I arrived in New York City with Mike and Payton a couple days later. We headed straight to the hotel where Lee and his band was staying at. I knew that Lee wanted to see Payton, since it has been a little over a week and not to mention I was kinda jetlagged and needed a nap.

I knocked on Lee's door and he opened it a few moments later, dressed in his tee-shirt and basketball shorts and his phone attached to his ear. His face lit up when he saw Payton, who was wide awake in her carrier and looking around the hallway. Lee waved and I gave him a small smile.

"Hey, let me call you back Kendall just got here with Payton." Lee said into the phone, before hanging up and opening the door wider for me to walk in.

"Hey." I stepped in.

"Hey! How was your flight?" Lee asked, bending down and giving me a quick kiss on my cheek.

"Long and I am beat, but we decided to come over here and visit you." I gave him a small smile, as I placed Payton's carrier on the bed. Lee went straight towards her and she looked up at him, her eyes lighting up and she gave him a big toothless smile as she noticed Lee and I had to smile.

"Hey you!" Lee said as he bent down and picked her up out of her seat, he held her up and kissed her cheek. "I missed you and am happy you are here! Tomorrow you are gonna come out and rock out with me and my band."

"What does your schedule look like for the next few days?" I asked.

"Tonight I am free, tomorrow is the show, Saturday is a radio contest show, Sunday I am singing the national anthem at a Giants game, Monday is the Today Show, and Tuesday is the album and Regis and Kelly then I fly back to LA for more interviews and performances." Lee said.

"Superstar over here." I smiled at him.

"It's crazy, but I am having fun! I miss this little one though." Lee said, kissing Payton's cheek.

"She clearly misses you too." I smiled, looking up at the two of them. I reached up and pulled down Payton's sweater that was riding up.

"What are you doing tonight?" Lee asked.

"Probably going back to my room and sleeping." I said.

"You can stay here." Lee winked and I shot him a look.

"Don't even start Lee." I said and he smiled.

"Mommy, has no sense of humor."

The door opened and Lee's parents came walking in. I hadn't seen them since before Lee and I split up, but his mom and I have talked a lot since. She was always calling and checking up on me and Payton. It was nice that they were still there for me even though things with Lee and me were extrememly rockey. It helped knowing I had their support.

"Hi sweetie!" Kathy walked over to me and pulled me into a hug. "How have you been?"

"Good! It's nice to see you!"

"Nice to see you too!" She let go of me. "You look good."

"Thanks." I smiled and turned to Lee Sr. "Hi!"

"Hey!" He smiled and gave me a quick hug. "Did you just get in?"

"Yeah, and we headed right to Lee's room so he could see Payton." I smiled.

"Well, let me see her cause it's been too long and she is getting so big!" Kathy said, grabbing Payton from Lee and leaning down to kiss her cheek. "Gosh, she looks so much like Lee."

"That is why she is so cute!" Lee smirked.

"Nah, she's a much cuter version of you." Lee Sr. said and I smiled.

"So, what are you two doing tonight?" Kathy looked between us.

"We're going to get some dinner and talk some things over." Lee answered for the both of us.

"That is the first time I heard that." I looked over at him.

"I think we need to talk and get on the same page with everything." Lee said quietly.

"I think it's great that you two are trying to work this out!" Kathy said.

Lee cleared his throat and I moved uncomfortably. Things just got real awkward.

"We can watch Payton for you!" Lee Sr said.

"Um are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes, we haven't seen her in a few weeks! I wanna spend sometime with her!" Kathy smiled.

I guess I was stuck going out tonight. I don't know how I felt about it! Either we were going to be mature about this and it would end well, or we were going to end up fighting. Things have been good between us, we've been civil and I really didn't want to ruin this.
